Instead of tap water use filter water tap water may contains chemicals that can prevent the nail polish from spreading on the surface.
Water marble polish not spreading.
Leaving our polish bottles out for a couple hours while we re trying to do a water marble can thicken them up.
A bit of nail polish thinner not acetone can be added to the polish and you might get one or two good rings out of it but don t expect miracles.
Add whatever you use to thin your polish normally just it acetone and try again.
This can cause the polish to not spread as well.

Cold if you have a brita filer or something where you keep your filtered water in the fridge you might be tempted to not wait until it s at room temperature.
To test to see it its new shake the metal balls inside it.
This is not a tutorial in any way just a comparison.
Allow it to dry then remove the residue with more water and a soft cloth.
Maintaining your marble floor.
If you re having any problems with the polish not spreading well make sure it s not too thick.
Never use cold water because it can cause your polish to dry quicker use filtered room temperature water or lukewarm water that works the best.
Add other colors repeat this process with other colors by placing the new drops in the middle of the glass.
Instead use a dry towel or chamois cloth to remove residual water or cleaners from your marble floor.
And just so you know no matter what brand it is if the polish is too old and goopy it will not spread.
8 to get the polish to spread out take a toothpick and circle in the water outside the design do it after third or fourth drop also if you know your polishes work but they don t spread try.
If you want a higher shine on your cleaned floor you can make a paste from 50 50 water and baking soda and spread it gently over the marble.
Add first color place a drop of your first nail polish into the water in the middle of the cup.
Unfiltered depending on where you live your tap water probably has different minerals.
If they move around alot the nail polish will work.
When ur doing the marble nails the nail polish has to be thin.
Try to use masking tape to cover the nails rather than scotch tape i used scotch tape because i couldnt find masking tape if you have neither then use lip balm instead but its not as easy to.
